       This Indenture made the twenty third day of September
       in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and
       fifty Six Between Roger Tolle and Sarah his wife James
       Morris and Anne his wife James Thompson Willing
       Bassett and Parthenia Mitchell all of Said Mary County
       in the Province of Maryland the said Sarah Anne Willing
       and Parthenia being Daughters of a certain Richard Griffin
       Late of the County afs.d deceased of the one part and Thomas Griffin of
       Same County and Province afs.d of the other Part Witnesseth that
       the said Roger and Sarah his wife James Morris and Anne
       his wife James Thompson Willing Passett and Parthina
       Mitchell for and in Consideration of the Sum of five thousand
       Pounds of Tobacco to them in hand paid the receipt whereof
       is hereby acknowledged and for the Docting ^Docking^ Barring and
       Extinguishing all Estate Taile of and in the Lands and Tenements
       therein after mentioned and expressed Have and each of them
       Hath granted Bargained Sold Remised Released Enfeoffed and
       Confirmed and by these Presents Do and Each of them Doth Grant
       Bargined all Remise Release and Confirm unto him the Said
       Thomas Griffin (in his Actual Possession now being by Virtue of
       a Bargain and Sale to him thereof made bearing Date the Day
       next before the Date of these Presents his heirs and Assigns
       all that Part of a Tract of Land Called Griffins Choice lying in
       Hawleys Manor in the County afs.d but butted and bounded as
       followeth that is to Say Beginning at a neck called Beaver Dam
       neck Right against Thomas Beales clear Ground running thence
       right across the neck to the Middel of the Neck then with a Line
       Drawn Streight by a Swamp Called the Round Swamp untill
       it intersects the Long Line of William Guither Land which Said
       Parcell of Land hereby reles released and Confirmed was formerly
       in the Possession of Richard Griffin and Contains by estimation
       on hundred and fifty Acres of Land more or less together with
