314) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit Received the Day and Year first within Written of and from the within named Joseph Ensor the Sum of One hundred pounds Sterling Money being £100 in full for the Consideration Money within Mentioned Witness his Geo Newman Samuel Smith John Cox September the 25.th 1758 Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Samuel Smith and Elizabeth his Wife and severally Acknowledged the within Deed or Instrument of Writing to be their Several Act and Deed to and for the Uses within Mentioned And the Said Elizabeth being by me privately Examined apart from and out of the Hearing of her said Husband did declare that she executed the said Deed and thereby conveyed and released her Right to and Estate in the within Mentioned Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances to the within named Joseph Ensor his Heirs and Assigns for ever and also that she executed the said Deed and made this acknowledgment willingly and freely and of her own Accord without being induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or ill Usage by her said Husband or Fear of his Displeasure 8 sides Recorded 25.th Sep.r 1758 Geo Steuart Ex.d This Indenture made this Tenth day of August in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty eight Between Patrick Hamilton of Kent Island in Queen Anns County Merchant of the of the One part and William Steuart (of) |
