                                        On the 25 day of April 1757 appeared
       John Merryman Jun.r & Catherine Orrick the Subscribing Witnesses
       to the within Bond before us the Subscribers two Justices
       of the Peace of the County aforesaid made oath & That they saw
       David McCullock Nicholas Ruxton Gay & Nicholas Rogers
       Sign Seal & deliver the within Bond as their act & deed for
       the purpose therein mentioned; as witness our Hands

Ex.d   Maryland fs.t   Know all men by these Presents that we
       Upton Scott of Ann Arundel County in the Province aforesaid George
       Steuart and John Ross of the same County and Province Gentlemen
       are held and firmly bound unto the Right Honourable the
       Lord Proprietary in the sum of two hundred Pounds Current Money
       to be paid to his said Lordships ^his^ his heirs and successors to which
       payment well and truly to be made we bind our selves and
       every of us our and every of our heirs Executors and Administrators
       jointly and severally firmly by these Presents sealed with our
