241) Maryland April 28.th 1758 Then Received from the above named George Maxwell the Sum of five shillings sterling each being the Consideration abovementioned Test J Hepburn James Johnson Wil Lyon Thomas Brouster Recorded 28.th April 1758 10 1/2 sides Maryland fs.t Know all Men by these presents that We Colmore Beanes Joseph Belt Jun.r and Robert Bradly of Prince Georges County are held and firmly Bound unto the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of the Province aforesaid in the full and Just Sum of four hundred pounds Current Money to the which payment well and truly to be made to the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary aforesaid his Heirs and Successor we bind ourselves and every of us our and every of our Heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 11.th day of March Anno Dom 1758 The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bound Colmore Beanes whilst he shall be and Continue in the Office of Collector of the Excise in Prince Georges County shall well and faithfully Exercise and Perform the Several Duties required of him to be performed by the Act of Assembly Entituled an Act for granting a Supply of forty thousand pounds for his Majesty's Service and striking |
