238) the said Oak with a line drawn North west Cross the Neck for Two hundred Perches to Back Wye River to a marked Oak and Running down the said River three hundred and twenty perches to the first marked Oak Containing and then laid out for four hundred Acres and afterwards Viz.t By Patent of Confirmation bearing Date on the Eighteenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord Sixteen hundred Sixty and Eight Confirmed unto Philip Stephenson by the name of Stephensons Purchase Beginning at a Marked Oak upon a point and running up a branch Called Harwood to a turning point East by South three hundred and twenty Perches on the East by a line drawn from the Turning point up another branch running three hundred and twenty Perches to a marked Oak on the North by a line drawn West and by North to the River and there to an Oak lately marked and from the last named Oak by a line drawn down the River to the first marked Containing and then laid out for Six hundred Acres and also one other Tract or parcel of Land granted on the twelfth day of September in the Year of our Lord Sixteen hundred Sixty and five unto Stephen Whetstone ^called Whetstone^ lying in Talbot County aforesaid and in the Northern branch of Wye River on the Back of the Land formerly laid out for John Wright Merchant and Adjoining to the Land of William Snaggs Southmost Bounded Tree an Oak and running from the said Oak for breadth south fifty perches by Wrights line |
