190) On the Back of the aforegoing Bond was thus indorst Viz.t Queen Ann's County Sc.t Upon the thirtieth day of November Anno Domini seventeen hundred and fifty seven William Hemsley and Mathew Dockery the Witnesses to the within Bond came before us and made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that they saw the within named Jonathan Nicols William Hopper and John Jackson Sign Seal and deliver the within Bond as their Act and Deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned Nathan Wright Recorded the 6.^th Dec.r^ 1757 John Brown 3 sides Maryland sc.t Know all men by these that we Jonathan Nicols William Hopper and John Jackson Surgeon of Queen Ann's County in the Province of Maryland are held and firmly bound to the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland in the sum of four hundred pounds Current Money to be paid to the Said Lord Proprietary his Heirs and Successors To which payment well and Truly to be made we bind our Selves and each of us our and each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our Seals and dated this thirteenth day of November Anno Domini seventeen hundred and fifty seven The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that if the above bounded Jonathan Nicols whilst he Shall be and continue in the Office of Collector of Excise in Queen Ann's County Shall well and faithfully exercise and perform the Several Duties required of him to be (performed) |
