       Cæcil County to wit Know all men by these presents
       that we George Milligan Sidney George and George Catto
       are held and firmly bound unto the right Honourable the
       Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland in the Sum
       of four hundred pounds Current Money of the Province afs.d
       to be paid unto the said Lord proprietary his heirs or Successors
       to which payment well and Truly to be ^made and^ done We bind
       our selves we bind ourselves and each of us and each of us our &
       every of our heirs Executors Administrators in the whole &
       for the whole firmly by these presents Sealed with our
       Seales and & dated this seventeenth Day of November
       in the year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty Seven
            
             The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that if the
       above bound George Milligan whilst he shall be and Continue in the
       Office of Collector of the Excise in Cæcil County shall well and
       faithfully Exercise and perform the Several Duties required of
       him to be formed by the Act of Assembly Entituled An Act for
       Granting a Supply of forty thousand pounds for his Majesty's
       Service and Striking thirty four thousand and fifteen pounds Six
       shillings thereof in Bills of Credit and raising a fund for sinking the
       same and do well and faithfully pay to the Commissioners of the
       Loan Office for the time being the Several Sums of Money which he
       Shall receive and be answerable for in Virtue of the Same Act at such
       Times as by the said Act is Directed according to the True Intent &
       Meaning in full force & Virtue                                     G Milligan

                         On the back of the aforegoing Bond was thus indorst Viz.t
      
       Cecil County To wit  Nov.r 7.th 1757  Then came the within mentioned William Thornton
       and John Wright before us the subscribers two of his Lordships Justices for the County
3 sides afs.d and made oath that they see the within named George Milligan Sindey George
       and George Catto Sign and Seal the within Bond & Deliver the same as their Act &
       Deed for the use therein mentioned                                                   John Veazey
