       September 27.th 1757   Then Came before me the Subscriber one
       of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court John Hall junior
       and Basil Dorsey ^Jun.r^ and respectively made Oath in the Parties
       Holy Evangelists of of Almighty God that they saw William
       Cromwell Nathan Hughes and Thomas Johnson Junior
       Parties to the within Deed respectively Sign Seal and
       deliver the same as their Act and Deed for the uses therein
       Mentioned and that they did also see the Said William
       Cromwell Sign his Name to the Receit endorsed on the
       within Deed for the Sum of One hundred pounds Current Money
       of Maryland being the Consideration Money therein mentioned
       and that they respectively Subscribed their Names as Witnesses
       to the Execution of the Said Deed and Receit

Ex.d         This Indenture made this thirtieth day of August
       in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty
       Seven Between Hancock Lee of Prince Georges County Gentleman
       of the one part and Richard Smith of the Same County
       Gentleman of the other part, Whereas Richard Bennett
       Esquire by his Last Will and Testament in Writing duly
       made devised unto Ele^a^nor Buchanan before her Marriage
       with Loyd Buchanan of Baltimore County Gentleman by
       the Name of Eleanor Darnall and Elizabeth Smith before
       her Marriage with the Said Richard Smith by the name
       of Elizabeth Darnall Daughters of Henry Darnall of
       Portland Mannor all his Estate Right and Title of in &
       unto his two Tracts of Land lying in Cecil County the one
       Called Hazlemore and the other called the Grove to them &
       the Heirs of their bodys to be Equally divided Between
       Them which Said Tracts of Land by a Resurvey thereon
       were by the Said Richard Bennett United and Consolidated
