       Dated this twenty eighth day of April seventeen hundred fifty
       seven
                                                    The Condition of the above obligation
       is Such that if the above bound Hercules Coutts Whilst he shall
       Continue in the Office of Receiver or Collection of the Land Tax
       in Kent County shall well and faithfully execute & perform
       the Several Dutys required of him to be performed by the
       Act of Assembly of this province entituled an Act for granting
       a Supply of Forty thousand pounds for his Majesties
       Service, and striking thirty five thousand and fifteen
       pounds Six Shillings thereof in Bills of Credit & Raising
       a fund for Sinking the Same and do well and faithfully
       pay to the Commis^s^iones of the Loan Office for the time
       being the Several Sums of Money which he Shall
       Receive or be answerable for in Virtue of the Same Act
       at Such times as by the Said Act is Directed according
       to the true intent and Meaning thereof Then the above
       Obligation to be void and of no Effect otherwise to stand and
       remain in full force and virtue

                             George Garnett of Kent County in the Province of Maryland
       and Solomon Wright of the County and province afs.d Severally Maketh
       oath that they were present and saw the above named Hercules Coutts
       Stephen Bordley and Charles Gordon Severally Sign Seal and
       Deliver the within Writing as their Act and Deed
       and they the Said George and Solomon then and
