       by the said James John Mackall to the said James Mackdowell in hand paid
       The Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the Said James Mackdowell Hath
       Given Granted bargained sold released and Confirmed and by Presents
       Doth Give grant bargain sell release and Confirm unto the said James
       John Mackall the premisses aforesaid with the appurtenances thereunto
       belonging in Calvert County Devised as aforesaid and all the Lands and
       Tenements belonging to the said James Mackdowell in the same County To
       Have and to hold all and singular the Premisses unto the said James John
       Mackall his heirs and assigns to his and their sold made and proper use
       and Behoof and the said James Mackdowell for himself his heirs Executors
       and Administrators doth further Covenant promise and agree to and
       with the said James John Mackall his heirs and Assigns that he the said
       James Mackdowell the aforementioned Premisses with the appurtenances
       Thereto belonging against him the said James Mackdowell and all
       Person by from or under him Claiming shall and will at all times
       hereafter warrant and defend by thes Presents ^In^ Witness thereof ^whereof^
       The said James Mackdowell hath hereunto Set his Hand and
       Seal the Day and year above written
       Sealed and Delivered

       27.th May 1756   Then Came the aforesaid James Mackdowell and acknowledged
       the above Deed before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices
       of ^the^ Provincial Court according to the form of the Act of Assembly in such
       Case made and Provided

       27.th May 1756 then received of James John Mackall the sum of sixty
       five Pounds Current Money It being the Consideration above
       mentioned
                                                                                  James Mackdowell

       1756 June the 16.th Came before us the subscribers two of his Lordships Justices
       of the peace for Cæcil County Levina Mackdowell the Wife of James
       Mackdowell the Grantor in the annexed Deed mentioned [illegible]
       [illegible] Examined privately out of the hearing of her husband Declared
