71) of Annapolis in Maryland in parts beyond the Seas Esquire to be my True and Lawfull Attorney for me and in my Name and for my own proper Use and Behoof to Ask Demand Sue for Recover Levy and Receive of and from the Executors or Administrators or other Legal Representative or Representatives of William Merriott late of Maryland aforesaid deceased the Sum of Eleven Pounds four Shillings and nine pence half Penny due and owing to me for divers Sums of Money paid and Advanced by me for the Board and Lodging Physick and other Necessarys found for the said William Merriott in his Sickness and for his Funeral Expences and for me and in my Name and as my Act and Deed to make Seal and Delivery or duly Execute such Acquittances Releases and other Writings as shall be requisite and proper in or about the Premisses Giving and hereby Granting unto my said Attorney my full and whole Power and Authority in and about the Execution and Performance of all and Singular the Premisses and to Act do Execute and perform all and every such further and other Lawfull and Reasonable Acts things and devices as shall be meet and requisite to be done in and about the Premisses as fully and effectually to all Intents and purposes as I myself might or could do if Personally present Hereby Promising to Ratify Allow and Confirm all and whatsoever my said Attorney shall Lawfully do or cause to be done by Virtue hereof In Witness whereof I the said John Gibson have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Second Day of February in the Twenty third Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c 3 1/2 and in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and forty nine Sealed & Delivered in the John Gibson Seal Presence of Adam Calamy Attorney in Cateation Street Tho.s Chapman his Clerk Recorded July 16.th 1759 Ex.d This Indenture made this nineteenth day of July one Thousand Seven hundred and fifty Between Jacob Morris of Ann Arundle County in the Province of Maryland Shipwright of the one part and Jesper Hall Jun.r of Baltimore County in the Province afs.d Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Jacob Morris for and in Consideration of the full and just Sum of fourty Pounds Currant Money already to him in hand paid the receipt whereof ^is^ hereby Acknowledged and thereof and every part and parcel thereof doth hereby Acquit and Discharge the said Jesper Hall Jun.r his Heirs Executors Administrators by these Presents he the said Jacob Morris Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm and by these Presents Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed unto him the said Jesper Hall Junior his Heirs and Assigns forever Twenty Acres of Land being part of a Tract of Land called Jacobs Lott Originally laid out for fifty Acres of Land thirty Acres of the said Tract being already Sold to Henry Rutter also all that Tract of Land called Majors Choice Originally Granted unto a Certain John Thomas for the Quantity of one hundred and forty Acres of (Land) |
