61) Memorand that on the fourteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and fifty then came Hyde Hoxton Party to the within Deed before me one of his Lordships Justices for the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Land and Premisses to be the Right Title and Estate fo the within named Edward Norwood his Heirs and Assigns for Ever and at the same time came Susannah the Wife of him the said Hyde Hoxton and acknowledged her Right of Dow^r^ey being privately Examined out of the hearing of her said Husband to be the Right Title and Estate of the within named Edward Norwood his Heirs and Assigns for Ever according to the true Intent and meaning of the within Deed the Act of Assembly in such cases made and provided before John Hepburn May the fourteenth Day seventeen hundred and fifty then received of Edward Norwood two hundred Pounds Sterling being the Consideration for the within Land and Premisses P Hyde Hoxton Witness John Hepburn 15 May 1750 Reced of M.r Edw.d Norwood fifteen Shill.s & nine Pence half pence Sterl for the use of the Right Honble the Lord Baltimore being for the Alienation fine of the within three hundred and nine five Acres of Land 13 Recorded May the 15.th 1750 Benj Tasker Ex.d Maryland fs.t Know all Men by these Presents That I James Dossey of Calvert County for and in Consideration of the Sums of fifty nine Pounds nine Shillings Sterling Money and eight Hundred ninety nine Pounds of Tobacco to me in hand paid have remised released and for ever quit Claim and Do by these Presents for me my Heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs remise release and for ever quit Claim unto James Peterkin of Dorchester County his Heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs all and all manner of Action and Actions Cause and Causes of Actions Suits Bills Bonds Writings Obligations Debts dues and demands and from all Sum and Sums of Money and Tobacco and from all Judgments Executions Extents Damages & Demands whatsoever both at Law and in Equity or otherwise howsoever which against him the said Jam.s Peterkin I ever had now have or which I my Heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs shall or may have Claim Challenge or Demand for or by Reasons or means of any Act matter Cause or thing from the beginning of the World to the day of the date of these Presents and particularly of and from one Obligation bearing date the twenty third day of June Anno Domini seventeen hundred and forty and three which was passed to me by the said Jam.s Peterkin and a certain Charles Goldsborough in the Sum of one hundred and four Pounds six^teen^ Shillings Sterling Conditioned for the payment of fifty two Pounds eight Shillings Sterling and of and from the Judgment which was rendered on the said Bond against the said James in the Provincial Court and of and from all Executions which now 3 are or hereafter shall Issue on the said Judgment In Witness whereof I hereto set my hand and Seal the 2 Day of May Anno Dom 1750 James Dossey Seal Signd Sealed and Delivered Chfts in Presence of us testis W.m Lyle Ex.d his John X Hase mark Recorded May 25.th 1750 Vide Mortgage to which the following Release belongs Recorded heretofore in this Book fol 23 I do hereby Acknowledge that the several Sums of one hundred & eighty four Pounds four Shill & three pence Sterling and forty eight Pounds seven Shill & five pence Sterl ^and^ all the Interest thereof being the Consid.n within mentioned have been fully paid to me and I do for myself my Exors and Adm.rs Absolutely Release and disclaim any Right 1 or Title to the within Mortgaged Premisses to M.r George Rock Witness my hand and Seal May 10 1750 Witness P.rset D Dulany Seal J Ross Recorded May 30.th 1750 |
