545) Premisses to the said William Ridgely his Heirs and Assigns for Ever In Witness whereof the parties first above Written have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered Phi Dorsey Seal In the presence of us Eliz.th Ridgely Seal Peter Barnes H Ridgely Son Henry On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed (Viz.t) Then Came before us two of his Lordships Justices for Ann Arundell County Court the within Named Philemon Dorsey and Eliz.th Ridgely and Acknowledged the within Indenture to be their Act and Deed and the Land and premisses therein Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within Named William Ridgely his Heirs and Assigns for Ever And at the same time Came Catherine the Wife of the said Philemon Dorsey who being by us privately Examined out of the hearing of her said Husband freely Acknowledged that She gave up all her Right and Title of Dowry to the within Mentioned Land and Premisses to the Said William Ridgley his Heirs and Assigns for Ever without any threats or fear of the displeasure of the said Husband Taken and Acknowledged before us the day and Year above said Alex.d Warfield John Howard April 4.th 1755 Then received of M.r William Ridgely the Sum of fifteen pounds Sterling Money being the Consideration Money within Mentioned We say received by us Witness Phi Dorsey John Howard Eliz.th Ridgely April 10.th 1755 Received of M.r William Ridgely Six shillings and ten pence Sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation fine on the within Mentioned One hundred and Seventy one Acres of Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq his said Lordships Agent and Receiver Gen Rich.d Dorsey 9 Recorded April 17.th 1755 |
