54) Maryland fs.t This Indenture made this twenty first day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and forty nine Between Kenelm Trueman Greenfield of Saint Marys County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and Robert Swann of Ann Arundel County in the Province afsd Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said Kenelm Trueman Greenfield for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Current Money by the said Robert Swann to him in hand paid at or before the ensealing and deliver of these Presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth hereby release acquit and Discharge the said Robert Swann his Executors and Administrators Hath Granted Bargained and Sold and by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain and Sell unto the said Robert Swann his Executors Adm.rs and Assigns All those several Tracts or Parcels of Plantable Land all Situate lying and being in Saint Marys County afd called Trent Neck containing Six hundred Acres of Land more or less, Backland containing one hundred & seventy ^five^ Acres of Land more or less Suenton containing one hundred Acres of Land more or less and the Inclosure containing one hundred and Ten Acres of Land more or less all which Several Tracts were reduced into one Entrie Tract by Patent of Confirmation heretofore Granted unto Thomas Trueman Greenfield late of Saint Marys County afsd bearing date the Tenth day of September in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixteen and called Trent Neck containing two Thousand three hundred fifty and four Acres of Land more or less lying ^and being^ in Saint Marys afsd and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every part thereof To have and to hold all and singular the said Land & premisses with the Appurtenances unto the said Robert Swann his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these Presents for and during and unto the full end and Term of one whole Year from thence next ensuing and fully to be Compleat and ended To the end and purpose that the said Robert Swann may be in the Actual Possession of all and singular the said hereby Bargained & Sold Land & Premisses with the Appurtenances and may hereby and by Force and Virtue of the Statute for Transferring Uses into Possession in that behalf made and Provided be enabled to take a Grant and Release of the Reversion & Inheritance of all and singular the said Land and Premisses hereby Bargained and Sold or intended so to be with the Appurtenances to him and his Heirs to such Uses & Purposes as shall be thereby Declared In Witness whereof the said parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the Day and Year first above Written Sealed & Delivered K T Greenfield Seal in the Presence of Rob.t Swan Seal Geo Dent At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t John Estep 6 J Chase Maryland March 21.st 1749 The above Deed Acknowledged before me by the above parties according to Law being one of the Judges of the Provincial Court Geo Dent Recorded April 24.th 1750 Ex.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture Tripartite made this twenty Second day of March in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and forty nine Between Kenelm Trueman Greenfield of Saint Marys County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the first part John Estep of Charles County in the Province afsd Planter of the Second part and Robert Swann of Ann Arundel County Merchant of third part Witnesseth that for & in Consideration of the Sum of five Pounds Current Money to the said Kenelm Trueman Greenfield in hand paid by the said John Estep at or before the Sealing and delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof he the said Kenelm Trueman Greenfield doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth hereby release Acquit and Discharge the said John Estep his Heirs Executors and Adm.rs and for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Pounds Current Money by the said Robert Swann to the said Kenelm Trueman Greenfield in hand paid before the Sealing hereof the receipt of which is also hereby Acknowledged and for the Docking Barring and Extinguishing all Estates Tail and all Reversions and Remainders thereon expectant or depending of and in the Lands Tenements and Hereditaments herein after mentioned he the said Kenelm Trueman Greenfield hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Released and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Release and Confirm unto the said Robert Swann (in the Actual Possession of the Lands Tenem.ts and Hereditaments herein after mentioned now being by Virtue of a Bargain and Sale to him thereof made by the said Kenelm Trueman Greenfield for five Shillings Consideration by Indenture bearing date the day next before the day of the date of these Presents for the Term of one whole Year commencing from the day (next) |
