       forth as in them lieth to be the Right and Property of the also within named John Gray his heirs or
       Assigns for ever According to the Purport and true meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly
       is such Case made and Provided Also the afd Alethea Parker being by us in Private Examined out of
       Sight or hearing of her afd husband declared that she freely and of her own Accord gave up all her
       Right title and Interest of Dower she now hath or ought to have to any of the afd within mentioned Lands
       and Premisses with their Appurtenances unto the afd John Gray his heirs or Assigns for ever
       without any threats of the afd Hutcheson Parker her now husband as afs.d or fear of his Displeasure
       and prayed that this her recognition and Acknowledgment as also the within Deed may be Recorded

Ex.d      By this Publick Instrument of Procuration or Letter of Attorney be it
       known that on the thirteenth day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven
       hundred and fifty four before me Abraham Ogier Notary Publick dwelling in London
       duly Admitted and Sworn and in the Presence of the Witnesses hereafter named Personally
       Appeared M.r Bryan Philpot of London Merchant the Acting Executor of the last will ^and testament^  of
       William Torver late of the Parish of S.t Ann at Limehouse in the County of Middlesex Merchant
       Deceased which said Appearor declared to have made Ordained Constituted and Appointed
       and by these Presents Doth make Ordain Constitute and Appoint John Gassaway of
       South River in Maryland Esquire to be his true and Lawfull Attorney Giving and
       hereby Granting unto his said Attorney full Power and lawfull Authority for him
       the said Constituent in his name and on his behalf in Quality of Executor as afd
       to Ask Demand Sue for and by all Lawfull ways and means recover and Receive
       of and from all and every Person and Persons whom it shall or may Concern all
