       On the Back of the aforegoing Bond was thus Endorsed Viz.t

       April 8.th 1754  Then came before us two of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial
       Court Thomas Dick and Peter Buchanan the Subscribing Witnesses to the within
       Bond and made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty Good that they saw the within
       Bound George Steuart Ignatius Digges and Samuel Galloway Execute the within Bond
       According to Act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided

             You are hereby required Immediately to enter the within Bond with the
       Indorsement thereon in the Provincial Court Records According to Act of Assembly in such
       Case made and Provided                                                               Jn.o Brice

Ex.d March 28.th 1754  Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of
       the Provincial Court Thomas Johnson junior Under Writer in the Provincial and Secretarys
       Offices and Clerk of the Western Shore Assize Courts and took the following Oath Viz.t

          You Thomas Johnson do swear that you will not for Lucre or Malice delay any Person or
       Persons Applying to you for any Business belonging to the Offices you Officiate in and that
       you will not directly or indirectly Ask Demand take or Receive from or Charge to any such
       Person or Persons to your own Use (Except your Salary from your Principal) any Fee or
       Reward whatsoever for any Service you shall do as Clerk of the said Offices And also that
       in making out the Office Fees you will not wittingly or willingly Charge other or
       Higher Fees than limitted by the Act intituled An Act for Amending the Staple of
       Tobacco for Preventing Frauds in his Majesties Customs and for the limitation
