       1754 January 19.th  Received of Charles Carroll Esq the Sums of Seventeen Pounds
       and four Pence half Penny Sterling and thirty six Pounds six Shillings Current
       Money being the Consideration mentioned in the within Assignment
       Witness   William Baker                                                         Jn.o Brice

       1754 January 19.th  Came the within named John Brice before me the Subscriber
       one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and Acknowledged the
       within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed according to the true
       Intent and meaning of the within Assignment and the Act of Assembly in

Ex.d         I Do hereby Constitute William Young of Baltimore County Esq.r
       my Lawfull Attorney to Demand sue for and Recover for me all Debts
       to me from any Persons whatsoever on the Western Shore of Maryland
       and Receipts given by him in my Name shall be Valid   Witness my
       hand and Seal at Annapolis this twenty third Day of January 1754

Ex.d This Indenture made the Thirty first Day of August in the Year of our Lord
       One Thousand seven hundred and fifty three Between James Russell of Prince
       Georges County in y.e Province of Maryland Merchant of the one Part and Joseph
       Belt of the said County Gent of the other Part Witnesseth that the said James
       Russell for & in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred and eighty Pounds Sterling
       to him in hand paid by the said Joseph Belt the Receipt whereof the said James
       Russell doth hereby Acknowledge As also for and in Consideration of Lucy
       Watson wife of Henry Watson of Prince Georges County aforesaid Gent of the
       Right of Dower of the said Lucy Watson of in and to sundry Tracts of Land
       conveyd and made over to the said James Russell by y.e aforesaid Henry
       Watson as by his Deed indented bearing Date the Fifth Day of July in the
       Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and forty two recourse being
       thereunto had more fully will appear   Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold
