428) On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed (Viz.t) 14.th July 1753 Then reced of Basil Brooke the Sum of five Shillings Sterling being the Consideration of the within Deed Test B Young James Brooke Maryland fs.t July y.e 14.th 1753 Then Came the within named James Brooke and Acknowledged the within Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Basil Brooke his Heirs and Assigns for ever before 5 sides Recorded Oct.r 9.th 1753 B Young Ex.d This Indenture made the ninth day of February in the Year of our Lord God one Thousand seven hundred and fifty three Between William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy & Joseph Janson of the City of London in the Kingdom of Great Britain Merchants Assignees of John Philpot late of London Merchant on the one part and James Perry of Frederick County in the Province of Maryland Planter on the other part Witnesseth that the said William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson for and in Consideration of the Sum of Twenty Eight pounds Current Money to them in hand by the said James Perry well and truly paid the Receipt whereof the said William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson do hereby Acknowledge Have Given Granted Bargained Sold Enfeoffed & Confirmed and by these Presents Do Give Grant Alien Bargain Sell Enfeoff and Confirm fully clearly and absolutely unto the said James Perry his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract or Parcel of Land lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid called Wickhams Parks Addition Beginning at the end of Forty Perches in the fourth line of a Tract of Land called Wickhams Park and running thence with the said Land East One hundred Perches then North twenty eight Degrees West One hundred Perches thence South eighty seven Degrees West eighty eight Perches then with a streight line to the first beginning Containing and laid out for fifty Acres of Land more or less together with all and singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise Appertaining To have and to hold the said Land and Premisses with all and singular the Appurtenances before by these Presents Bargained and Sold unto him the said James Perry his Heirs and Assigns to his and their only proper Use and Behoof for ever And the said William Torver, Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson for themselves their Heirs (Executors) |
