425) October 11.th 1753 Then came the Reverend M.r Thomas Bacon and John Ridout Esq.r the subscribing Witnesses to the within Bond and made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God before us two of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court that they did see the within Bound Edward Lloyd Charles Goldsborough and James Hollyday Esq.rs Execute the within Bond Jn.o Brice Geo Steuart You are hereby required immediately to enter the within Bond with the Indorsement thereon in the Provincial Land Records pursuant to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided To M.r Richard Burdus Clerk of the Prov.l Court Jn.o Brice 8 Geo Steuart Ex.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made the twenty Seventh Day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and fifty three Between Joseph Bickerton son & Heir at Law of John Bickerton late of Annarundel County deceas.d of the one part and John Skinner of Calvert County merchant of the other part Witnesseth that the said Joseph Bickerton for and in Consideration of the sum of sixty pounds Current money of the Province afs.d to him the said Joseph Bickerton in hand paid before the Sealing and Delivering of these Presents the reciept whereof he the said Joseph doth hereby acknowledge and himself to be therewith fully satisfyed Contented and paid hath Granted Bargained and sold & by these Presents doth Grant Bargain sell aliene and Confirm to him the said John Skinner his Heirs and Assigns for ever the following three parcells of Land hereafter named that is to say one Parcel of Land lying in Arrundell County and whereon Joseph Bickerton now dwells called and Known by the name of Broughton Nashley said to Contain thirty Acres more or less also one other parcel of Land lying in Annarundell County afs.d & adjoining to the before mentioned Broughton Nashley Known by the name of Hunts Chance said to contain forty six acres more or less also part of a tract of Land lying in Calvert County called and Known by the name of Hamiltons Park said to Contain thirty ^three^ acres more or less To Have and to Hold all and Singular the before mentioned three tracts or parcells of Lands & Premises with all & Singular the Buildings and other Improvements thereon of what nature and Kind whatsoever unto Him the said John Skinner his Heirs and assigns for ever and to and for nother use Intent or purpose (purpose) |
