374) and Daniel Chamier Jointly or Severally to Act & Transact every other matter or thing which they shall find Requisite and Necessary in order to the Obtaining Selling & Disposing Receiving Getting in and remitting home of all and singular the said ^Trust^ Estate Goods Debts Moneys and Effects so heretofore due Owing or belonging to the said Charles Carnan and Assigned by him in Trust as aforesaid by the said recited Deed and to the Settling Adjusting and finally Determining of all Accounts Demands and things whatsoever any ways relating thereunto They the said Henry Voght Charles Worrall, John Barton, Thomas Harrop, Jabez Bloxham, and James Gibson Hereby Ratifying and Confirming all and whatsoever their said Substitutes or Attorneys John Carnan and Daniel Chamier shall Jointly or Severally Lawfully do or Cause to be done in and about the Premisses by Virtue of these Presents as fully and amply to all Intents and Purposes as they the said Assignees in Trust or the said Charles Carnan might or could do if they were all or any of them Personally Present And also Giving and by these Presents Granting unto the said John Carnan and Daniel Chamier full Power and Authority to Deduct and retain to themselves Ten Pounds Sterling for every hundred Pounds Sterling Money or Effects which they shall get in and in due time remit home to London to them the said Assignees in Trust or the Survivors of them And also all Law Charges Disbursements or Expences at Law or in Equity which they the said John Carnan and Daniel Chamier or either of them shall pay lay out and necessarily expend in and about the Execution of these Presents and of the Powers hereby to them hereby Substituted and given as aforesaid In Witness whereof they the said Trustees have hereunto set their hands and Seals this Ninth day of March in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three Henry Seal Voght Charles Seal Worrall John Seal Barton Thomas Seal Harrop Jabez Seal Bloxham James Seal Gibson On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Endorsed Viz.t Sealed and Delivered In the Presence of Daniel Cookson Ja.s Lucas To which same power of Attorney was Annexed the following Testimonial and Affidavit Viz.t To all to whom these Presents shall come I Sir Crisp Gascoyne Knight Lord Mayor of the City of London In Pursuance of an Act of Parliament made and passed in the fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Second Intituled An Act for the more Easy Recovery of Debts in his Majestys Plantations and Colonies in America Do hereby Certify that on the Day of the Date hereof Personally Came and Appeared before me Daniel Cookson the Deponent Named in the Affidavit hereunto Annexed being a Person well known and worthy of good Credit and by Solemn Oath which the ^said^ Deponent then took before me upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God Did Solemnly and (Sincerely) |
