339) Molestation Interruption or denial of him the said Edward Neale his Heirs or Assigns or of any other Person or Persons whatsoever In Witness whereof the Partys to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably put their hands and Seals the day and Year above Written Sealed and Delivered Edw.d Neale Seal In Presence of R.d Tilghman E Tilghman On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Maryland Sc.t Be it Remembered that upon the twenty eighth day of December in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty two the within named Edward Neale and Elizabeth his Wife Personally Acknowledged the within Deed and the Lands with the Appurtenances within mentioned to the within named James Tilghman his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and behoof of the said James Tilghman his Heirs and Assigns for ever And I do hereby Certify that immediately before making the same Acknowledgment I did Privately Examine the said Elizabeth out of the hearing of her said Husband who did then declare and Assent that she should make her Acknowledgement of the same Deed willingly and freely and without being Induced thereto by fear or threats of or Ill Usage by her Husband afsd or fear of his Displeasure In Testimony whereof I the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court have hereunto put my hand the day and Year above Written R.d Tilghman Jan.ry 2.d 1752 Received from M.r James Tilghman £ S D the Consideration within mentioned 700 0 0 Sterling Test Tho Ringgold Edw.d Neale Reced Jan.ry 3 1753 of M.r James Tilghman Two Pounds four Shillings Ster for the Alienation Fine on the within Land due to the Lord Proprietary and reced for his Use P Joseph Nicholson 7 sides Recorded February the 23.d 1753 Ex.d Maryland Sc.t Whereas Edward Neale of Queen Annes County Gentleman by Indenture bearing date the thirtieth day of April last past in Consideration of Two hundred and seventy seven Pounds two Shillings Sterling Money by me Edmund Jenings of the City of Annapolis Esq to him lent and Advanced did Mortgage to me one Tract of Land lying formerly in Cecil but now in Kent County called Camells worth more containing Eleven hundred Acres, And Whereas James Tilghman of Talbot County Attorney at Law has since Purchased from the said Edward Neale All the said Edward his Right and Equity of Redemption of the said Parcel of Land and has likewise paid and Satisfied to me the afsd Principal Sum of Money and the Interest thereon due Now Know all Men by these Presents that I the said Edmund Jenings in Consideration of the Premisses and of the further Sum of five Shillings Sterling to me in hand paid by the said (James) |
