314) called Rough Stone Containing by Patent to him the said Michael Granted four Hundred and twenty Acres the other called Spittle Craft Containing five hundred Acres as by the Patent thereof more fully may appear And which said Lands was aforesaid Granted Aliened and Sold were on the twenty third day of February One Thousand Seven hundred thirty and seven by Deed Indented and Executed by him the said Michael Taylor were Released and further Confirmed unto them the said Charles Carroll and Charles Carroll their Heirs and Assigns for ever And Whereas by Inspecting into the Bounds of the said Land called Rough Stone there is found to be taken away by Elder Surveys the Quantity of two hundred and eight Acres part thereof whereby there remains clear no more than the Quantity of Two hundred and twelve Acres Now this Indenture further Witnesseth That the said Charles Carroll and Charles Carroll for and in Consideration of the Sum of Three hundred fifty and eight Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain Principal & Interest to them or one of them in hand paid by the said Samuel Webb the Receipt whereof they do hereby Acknowledge and thereof doth Acquit Exonerate and discharge him the said Samuel Webb his Heirs Executors and Administrators by these Presents Have Bargained Sold Aliened Released and Confirmed and by these Presents Do Absolutely and freely Bargain Sell Alien Release and Confirm unto him the said Samuel Webb his Heirs and Assigns for ever All the Estate Right Interest Claim and Demand which by Virtue of the said recited Deeds from the said Michael was Vested in them or either of them as Executors of James Carroll aforesaid or by any other Title or Conveyance from him the said Michael Taylor to them the said Charles Carroll and Charles Carroll their Heirs or Assigns of in and to the said Tract of Land called Spittle Craft Containing five hundred Acres And also all that part which lies clear of Elder Surveys of the said Tract of Land called Rough Stone being by Computation Two hundred and twelve Acres together with all the Buildings Improvements and Appurtenances on the said Lands being belonging & Appertaining To have and to hold unto him the said Samuel Webb his Heirs and Assigns for ever the said Tract of Land called Spittle Craft and all that part of Rough Stone which is Clear of Elder Surveys being two hundred and twelve Acres as aforesaid with their and every of their Appurtenances Warranted and Defended as well against them the said Charles Carroll and Charles Carroll or either of them as against all Persons Claiming or to Claim from by or under them or either of them In Witness whereof & the foregoing Premisses the said Parties to these Presents have Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered In the Presence of Us Char.les Carroll Seal C Carroll Seal Arthur Charlton Will.m Baker On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Reced the Day and Year within Written of the within named £ Samuel Webb the Sum of three hundred fifty and eight Pounds 358 Sterling Money of Great Britain being the Consideration Money within mentioned We say Reced by Us Attested by Arthur Charlton Char.les Carroll Will.m Baker C Carroll (Oct.r) |
