255) Thomas Jennings his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these Presents for and during and unto the full end and Term of one whole Year from thence next following fully to be Compleat and ended to the Intent and Purpose that the said Thomas Jennings may be better enabled to receive and take a Grant of the Premisses hereby Bargained and Sold to him and his Heirs in such sort manner and form as in and by an Indenture intended to bear date the day next after the day of the date of these Presents the same shall be Granted Released and Conveyed In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered Samuel Howard Seal in the Presence of William Steuart Jn.o Brice Seal H Woodward Tho.s Jennings Seal 4 Recorded April 21.st 1752 Ex.d This Indenture Tripartite made the Eleventh Day of March in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty two Between Samuel Howard of Ann Arundel County Planter and John Brice of the same County Esquire of the first part and Thomas Jennings of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the Second part and Beale Nicholson of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the third part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Howard and John Brice for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings of Lawfull Money of England to them in hand paid by the said Thomas Jennings at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have given Granted Released and Confirmed and by these Presents Do give Grant Release and Confirm unto the said Thomas Jennings All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Howards Inheritance Containing four hundred and forty nine Acres more or less with the Appurtenances lying in the County afsd Also one other Tract or Parcel of Plantable Land called Porters Hills Containing two hundred Acres more or less with the Appurtenances lying in the County aforesaid Also one other Tract or Parcel of Plantable Land called Chance Containing two hundred Acres more or less with the Appurtenances lying in the County aforesaid together with the Houses Buildings Orchards Corn Fields and Improvements thereunto belonging late in the Tenure and Occupation of the said Samuel Howard (but now in the Actual Possession of the said Thomas Jennings by force of an Indenture of Bargain and Sale thereof made bearing date the day before the date of these Presents of these Presents and of the Statute for Transferring Uses into Possession) being) To have and to hold all and singular the said several Tracts or Parcels of Land and all and every the Premisses with the Appurtenances hereby given Granted Released and Confirmed ^or mentioned or entended to be hereby Given Granted Released and Confirmed^ unto the said Thomas Jennings and his Heirs for ever to the Intent and Purpose that the said Thomas Jennings shall and may be perfect Tenant of the said Several Tracts or Parcels of Land and Premisses untill one or more good and perfect Recovery and Recoveries may be had against him the said Thomas Jennings of the same Land and Premisses And it is (Covenanted) |
