254) Limitted and Declared without any let or hindrance of or from them or any Person or Persons Claiming or to Claim by or from them or any of them And the said Thomas Sparrow doth Covenant Grant and Agree to and with the said George Mills that he the said George and his Heirs shall hold Occupy Possess and Enjoy all and singular the Premisses aforesaid without any Let or Hindrance of or from him or his Heirs or any Person or Persons Claiming or to Claim by or from him or them or any of them In Witness whereof the Parties aforesaid have hereunto Affixed their hands and Seals the day and Year abovesaid Sealed and Delivered James Jordan Seal in the Presence of John Hepburn Ann Jordan Seal D Dulany Jun.r Tho.s Sparrow Seal On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t 17.th April 1752 Then Came before me the within Named James Jordan and Thomas Sparrow and Acknowledged the within Deed according to the form of the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided and on the same day came before me Ann Jordan within mentioned and being Examined by me privately and out of the hearing of her Husband whether she did make her Acknowledgement of the same Willingly and freely and without being Induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or Ill Usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure and being so Examined did declare that she Acknowledged the within Deed Willingly and freely and without being Induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or Ill Usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure Taken before me John Hepburn 9 Recorded April 20.th 1752 Ex.d This Indenture made the Tenth day of March in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty two Between Samuel Howard of Ann Arundel County Planter and John Brice of the same County Esquire of the one part and Thomas Jennings of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Howard and John Brice for and in Consideration of the Sum of Five Shillings Sterling to them in hand paid by the said Thomas Jennings before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have Bargained and Sold and by these Presents Do Bargain and Sell unto the said Thomas Jennings All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Howards Inheritance Containing four hundred and forty nine Acres more or less with the Appurtenances lying in Ann Arundel County Also one other Tract or Parcel of Land called Warners Neck Containing three hundred Twenty Acres more or less with the Appurtenances lying in the County aforesaid Also one other Tract or Parcel of Plantable called Porter Hill Containing Two hundred Acres more or less with the Appurtenances lying in the County aforesaid Also one other Tract or Parcel of Land called Chance Containing Two hundred Acres more or less with the Appurtenances lying in the County aforesaid together with the Houses Buildings Orchards Cornfields and Improvements to the same belonging To have and to hold the said Several Tracts or Parcels of Land and Premisses with their Appurtenances hereby Bargained and Sold to the said (Thomas) |
