195) On the Second day of July Anno Dom 1751 Mary Riccard William Green & Absolam Sparks within Named Personally came before me the Under written one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland and freely Acknowledged the within Written Indenture to be their Act and Deed to and for the Uses Intent and Purposes therein mentioned and declared Witness my hand the day and Year aforesaid R.d Tilghman Recorded Oct.r 4.th 1751 9 Ex.d Maryland fs.t Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &s To all our Bailiffs and Good People to whom these Presents shall come Greeting Know Ye that of our Especial Grace We have Pardoned unto John Mac Carmick of Cecil County Labourer as a proper Object of our Mercy the Suit of our Peace and what^so^ever appertaineth unto Us for ^that^ the said John Mac Carmick heretofore Viz.t on the Nineteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty one at Cecil County afs.d the Mansion House of a certain John Davidge of the same County Planter with Force and Arms in the Afternoon to wit between the Hours of one and two of the Clock after the Noon of the same day no Person in the said House then being Feloniously Broke and Entered and one Mans Cloth Coat of the Value of Twenty Shilling Sterling One Mans Cloth Jackett of the Value of fifteen Shillings like Money one Mans Duffill Great Coat of the Value Sam Ogle of Twenty Shillings like Money one Pair of Leather Breeches of the Value of Ten Shillings like Money one Pair of Check Trowsers of the Value of two shillings like Money and one Case Bottle containing therein one Quart of Melasses of the Value of two shillings like Money of the Goods and Chattels of the aforesaid John Davidge in the said Mansion House then being then and there Feloniously stole took and carried away against our Peace good rule and Government and contrary to the Form of the Statute in such Cases lately made and provided whereof he was Convict before the Justices of our Provincial Court Nevertheless We Grant unto him our firm Peace and will not that he suffer any Corporal Punishment therefore but that he shall stand and be in the same Plight State and Condition to all Intents and Purposes as if the said Felony whereof the said John Mac Carmick hath been Convict had never been done or committed Witness our Trust and Wellbeloved Samuel Ogle Esq.r Governor of our said Province this 20.th day of September in the 37.th Year of our Dominion Annoq Domini 1751 3 1/2 J Ross Cl Com the Great Seal in Wax Appendant Ex.d This Indenture made the Eleventh Day of September in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty one Between Beale Bordley of Annapolis Gentleman and Elizabeth Bordley of the same place Spinster of the one part and John Riggs the Elder of Ann Arundel County Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Beale Bordley and Elizabeth Bordley for and in Consideration of the Sum of two hundred Pounds Sterling Money by the said John Riggs to them the said Beale Bordley and Elizabeth Bordley in hand paid at or before the Sealing and delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof (they) |
