150) Frederick County containing and laid out for two hundred and three Acres and a Quarter of an Acre of Land more or less which said Tract or Parcel of Land was heretofore Granted to the said John Howard by Patent bearing date the second day of January in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and forty nine And all and Singular the Houses Gardens Meadows and Improvements to the same belonging And also the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Right Estate interest Benefit Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said John Howard of in and to all and singular the said Premisses and of in and to every part and parcel of them To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land and all and singular other the Premisses herein before mentioned and intended to be hereby Granted with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Basil Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever to the only Use and Behoof of him the said Basil Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns And the said John Howard for himself and his Heirs the said Tract or Parcel of Land and all and singular other the Premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances unto him the said Basil Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns against him the said John Howard his Heirs and Assigns and all Persons Claiming by from or under him or any of them shall and will Warrant and Defend In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above written John Howard Son of Gideon Seal Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of Robert Gordon Henry Woodward On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed (Viz.t) Received July the third 1751 of Basil Dorsey the Sum of thirty Six Pounds eleven Shillings and nine pence Sterling Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned Witness A Woodward John Howard son of Gideon Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within Named mentioned John Howard and Acknowledged the within Deed of Bargain and Sale as his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to the Right and Estate of the within named Basil Dorsey and his Heirs according to the true Intent and meaning of the said Deed and the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided Acknowledged before me this 3.d of July 1751 Robert Gordon July the 3.d 1751 Received of M.r Basil Dorsey eight Shillings and one Penny three farthings sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation fine on the within mentioned Lands) By Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & Receiver General Rich.d Dorsey Recorded July 3.d 1751 6 |
