137) Sealed and Delivered In the Presence of W.m Rogers Tho.s Williamson On the back of the aforegoing Assignm.t was thus Endorsed (Viz.t) June 10.th 1751 Then Came before me the Subscriber two of his Lordships Justices of Baltimore County the within named George Atkinson Surviving Executor of the within mentioned Christopher Grindall and Acknowledged the within Instrument to be his Act and Deed and the Right Property Claim and Title of in or to the within mentioned Judgments to be in the within named Thomas Sligh his Executors Administrators and Assigns according to the true Intent and meaning of the within Writing Recorded June 13.th 1751 W Young 7 J Ridgely Ex.d This Indenture made the Twentieth day of June Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and fifty one Between Jonathan Rawlings of Ann Arundel County Cabinet Maker of the one part and Richard Harwood of the afs.d County Gentleman of the other part Whereas the said Richard Harwood did on the fifth day of June in the Year afs.d enter into Bond with the said Jonathan Rawlings in the Penal Sum of Three hundred and forty Pounds Current Money of Maryland Conditioned for the Payment of the Sum of One hundred and Seventy Pounds Current Money of the afs.d Province Now this Indenture Witnesseth That the said Jonathan Rawlings for and in Consideration of the said Richard Harwood his becoming Bound as afsd and also for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Setling Money to him in hand paid by the said Richard Harwood the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Released and Confirmed and by these Presents he the said Jonathan Rawlings for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Release and Confirm unto the said Richard Harwood his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that sixty Acres of Land lying and being in Ann Arundel County being part of a Tract of Land called Snowdens Reputation Supported lying on the East side of a Run called South Run and whereon stands a Mill commonly called or known by the Name of Beall's Mill And also all that Tract of Land called Brotherly Love lying and being in Baltimore County on the North side of Patapsco River containing and laid out for One hundred Acres of Land And also one Negro Woman named Julan together with all and singular the Houses Buildings and Improvements to the said two Tracts of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining and also all the Estate Right Title Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of in or to the same two Tracts of Land and Negro or any part or parcel thereof To have and to hold the said Bargained Lands and Premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances and also the afd Negro Woman unto him the said Richard Harwood his Heirs and Assigns to and for the only proper Use and Behoof of him the said Rich.d Harwood his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever And the said Jonathan Rawlings for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators Doth hereby Covenant and Agree to and with the said Richard Harwood his Heirs and Assigns That he the said Jontathan Rawlings and his Heirs the aforementioned Bargained Premisses unto him the said Richard Harwood his Heirs and Assigns shall and will forever hereafter (Warrant) |
