547) On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Endors'd Viz.t February 3.d 1748 Then Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland M.rs Anne Macnemara Wife of Michael Macnemara Esq.r (heretofore called) Ann Davidge) and made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that she see William Parks within Named Sign Seal and Deliver the within Instrument of Writing as his Act and Deed to and for the several Uses Intents and Purposes within mentioned and that she Signed her Name as an Evidence thereto Sworn to before me 2 1/2 Recorded Feb.y 3.d 1748 Robert Gordon Ex.d This Indenture made this Twenty sixt day of Sep.t in the Year of our Lord God One Thousand seven hundred and forty Eight Between Adam Sherrill of Augustor County in the Colony of Virginia Farmer of the one part and Amos Thatcher of Prince Georges County and Province of Maryland of the other Part Witnesseth that he the said Adam Sherrill for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred Pound Current Money of Pensylvania to him in hand paid by Amos Thatcher before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof the s.d Adam Sherrill doth hereby acknowledge himself fully Satisfyed and Contented and for every part and Parcel thereof doth Acquit and Discharge the said Amos Thatcher his Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs for Ever by these Presents Hath Granted Bargained & Sold Aliend & Confirmed and by these Presents Doth fully Clearly & Absolutely Grant Bargain and Sell Alien and Confirm unto the said Amos Thatcher his Heirs or Assigns All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Cap.t Johns Bottom Situate lying and being in the County of Prince Georges with the Appurtenances Beginning at a Bounded White Oak standing by the side of Potowmack River between the Mouth of Anteatam and Connygochege Creek in a place called Cap.t Johns Bottom and running thence North thirty Nine Degrees West thirty six Perches then South Sixty five Degrees West fifty six Perches then South forty two Perches then South Sixteen Degrees West twenty (two) |
