       Hammond Esq.r and Robert Gray before us the Subscribers
       Two of his Lordships Justices of the peace for Ann.ll County and
       Severally acknowledged the within Lease to be their Act

       7.th Decem.r 1748   Then Came before me the Subscriber one of
       his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court John Ross and as
       Clerk of the Council Examiner General and Register of the
       Court of Chancery took the Oaths appointed by the Act of
       Assembly Entituled An Act for amending the Staple of
       Tobacco for preventing Frauds in his Majestys Customs and
       for Limitation of Officers fees

       I hereby Certifie that His Excellency Samuel Ogle Esq.r Governor of
       Maryland did as Chancellor of the said Province and Surveyor
       General of the Western Shore take the Oath Directed to be taken
       by Officers by an Act of Assembly Entituled An Act for amending
       the Staple of Tobacco for preventing Frauds in his Majestys
       Customs and for the Limitation of Officers Fees Witness my Hand
