       Ann Arundel County fs.t      I the Subscriber one of his Lordships
       the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietor his Justice of the
       Provincial Court do hereby Certify that on the Tenth Day of
       November Anno Dom one Thousand seven Hundred and
       Forty eight the within Named Samuel Hopkins did
       Acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act
       and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned
       to be the Right of Philip Rigby

       November the 10.th 1748  Received of Philip Rigby the Sum of
       Five Thousand Pounds of Tobacco it being the Purchase of the
       within Bargained Premisses Rc.d P Samuell Hopkins
       Testes
       Ann Middleton Arthur Rigby

       Reced (Nov.r the 10.th 1748) of M.r Philip Rigby the Sum of three
       Shillings and seven pence three farthings Sterling for his
       Lordships Use (it being the Alienation fine on the within
       mentioned Lands) by Virtue of a Commission from Benj.a
       Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General
       Recorded Nov.r 23.d 1748                  Rich.d Dorsey

       do hereby Certify that Edmund Jenings Esq.r Secretary and
       Notary Publick of the Province of Maryland on the 28.th
       Day of November 1748 did make Oath before me that he

       and Knowledge Execute his said Offices and that he would
