408) County on Wednesday the fifth day of August in the Twenty first year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second now King of Great Britain &c Before Sir William Lee Kn.t Chief Justice of our said Lord the King assigned to hold pleas before the King himself & Sir Thomas Denison Kn.t one of the Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to hold pleas before the King himself Justices of our said Lord the King appointed to deliver the Goal of the said County of the Prisoners therein being John Shrieve Edward Moule Thomas Lemon otherwise Fryson and John Mason having been Attainted for Felony are Ordered and Adjuded by this Court pursuant to the Statute in such Case made and Provided and pursuant to his Majestys Pleasure Signifyed by the Earle of Chesterfield one of his Principal Secretaries of State to be Transported to some of his Majestys Colonies and Plantations in America for the space of Fourteen years and Thomas Bramston Charles Gray Robert Brage and William Nicholson Esq.r four of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County or any two or more of them are nominated and appointed by this Court (pursuant to the Statute in such Case made and Provided) to Contract with any person or Persons for the Transportation of the said Felons And it is further Ordered by this Court that the said Several Persons herein before named to be Transported shall be and they are hereby Conveyed and made over to and to the use of any Person or Persons & his or their assigns for and During the Term above mentioned who shall Contract for the Transportation of them accordingly ^Essex These are to Certifye that Andrew Reid of London Merch.t hath Contracted with two of his Majesty's Justices of the peace within mentioned for the Transportation of the several Felons within named And also for the Transportation of Mary Clarke who at the last Midsummer Quarter Sessions of the peace held for the County of Essex was Convicted of Felony & of W.m Mullings who at the last Michaelmas Quarter Sessions of the peace held for the s.d County was likewise Convicted of Felony & were severally ordered to be Transported for seven years Witness my hand this eighth day of Jan.r 1747 Jerome K^n^app Clk of assize for the s.d County^ By the Court J Knapp Ex.d Whereas at the General Goal Delivery of the Goal of our Lord the King of the County of Witts holden at New Sanem in and for the said County on Saturday the Twenty Eighth day of March in the Twentieth year of the Reign of (our) |
