356) And I Certifie that the said Henrietta Maria by me Examined Privatly out of the hearing of her said Husband and that she declared that she Acknowledged the within Deed willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by fear or threats of or ill usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure W.m Rogers October the 29.th 1747 Received Ten Shillings for the 10 1/2 sides Consideration within mentioned Test W.m Rogers E Dorsey D Dulany Vide Recovery recorded in Lib E I N.o 10 fol 794 Ex.d This Indenture made the first day of September in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and forty Seven ^Between^ Benjamin Howard of Baltimore County Planter of the one part and John Dorsey Jun of Annarundel County Planter of the other part Witnes^s^eth That for and in Con^si^deration of the sums of Twenty five pounds Sterling money of Great Britain and forty five Pounds Current money of Maryland by the said John Dorsey to the said Benjamin Howard in hand paid on ^before^ the Sealing and Delivery of these ^presents^ the Receipt whereof the said Benjamin Howard doth hereby Acknowledge It is Covenanted concluded and agreed upon between the parties to these presents for them and their Heirs that it shall and may be Lawfull for the said John Dorsey before the last day of the next Provincial Court to Prosecute out of the High Court of Chancery one or more Writ or Writs of Entry sue Disseisin in the Post against the said Benjamin Howard returnable to (The) |
