339) Memorandum/ That on the Twenty Eighth Day of August One Thousand seven hundred & forty seven Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Eleanor Pool and did acknowledge the within Land & Premisses to be the right Property and Estate of M.r Ashbury Sutton his Heirs & Assigns forever according to the True Intent & meaning thereof and the Act of Assembly in such Cases made & Provided August ^the^ 20.th 1747 W.m Rogers Reced of M.r Ashbury Sutton Twenty Pounds Current Money being for the Consideration of the within Bargained Lands & Premisses £ 20 her his Eleanor Pool Test W.m Wilkins Benj.a Z Takman mark mark Reced (Sept.r the 2.d 1747) of M.r Ashbury Sutton four Shillings Sterling for his Lordships use (it being the Alienation fine on the within mentioned One hundred Acres of Land) by Virtue of a Commission from Benj.a Tasker Esquire 6 sides his said Lordships agent & Receiver General Recorded Sept.r 2.d 1747 Rich.d Dorsey Exam.d This Indenture made this Twelfth Day of August in the Year of our Lord God One thousand Seven Hundred and forty Seven Between Charles Phelps of Annarundel County and Margaret his wife of the one Part and Charles Carroll of Annapolis Esq.r of said County on the other Part Witnesseth That wherea^s^ George Hollingsworth of Baltimore County Deceased did among other things Devise unto his Sons George Otho, Charles, and James, Hollingsworth, and to his (Daughter) |
