13) Alienation Fine & Fees made out for the Year 1744 Ex.d This Indenture made the Twenty Fourth Day of November One Thousand Seven hundred and Forty four Between John Digges of Prince Georges County Gent of the one Part & Charles Carroll of Annapolis Esq.r in his own proper Right & the said Charles Carroll & Charles Carroll of Annapolis Surgeon Two of the Acting Executors of James Carroll late of Ann arundell County Deceas'd & Daniel Dulany of Annapolis of the other part Whereas the said John Digges is & stands justly indebted to the first named Charles Caroll in his own proper Right on the Eighteenth of last October in the sum of Twelve hundred & twenty nine Pounds Ten Shillings & nine Pence Sterling & to the said Charles Carroll & Charles Carroll Surgeon as Executors of the said James Carroll in the sum of Three hundred & Sixty Pounds Sterling And to the said Daniel Dulany in three hundred & Seventy Pounds Eight Shillings Current Money of Maryland & Sixty Six Pounds Sterling by Two seperate Bonds bearing Date the Twelfth Day of October one Thousand seven hundred & Forty Three together with the Intrest thereof from the Date of the said Bonds Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said John Digges as well for the better securing the payment of the said several sums of money as for and in Consideration of five shillings Lawfull Money of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said Charles Carroll Charles Carroll Surgeon & Daniel Dulany the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledg'd Hath Granted Bargained Sold Made over and Confirm'd & by these presents |
