65) Anno Domini 1734 The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that if the above bounded Richard Hill his Heirs Executors or Administrators do well & truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Commissioners or Trustees or their successors at the place where their Office shall be kept for the time being the Value of One hundred Pounds in Bills of Credit Current by the Law of the said Province or in Current Money of America on or before the thirty first Day of July next Ensueing with lawfull Interest for the same at four per Cent per Annum Then the above Obligation to be Void & of none Effect otherwise to be in full force & Virtue in Law But if Default be made in Payment of the said Sum of One hundred Pounds or in the Payment of the Interest thereof then we impower any Attorney in any Court of Record in the Realms of Great Britain France & Ireland or within the Province of Maryland or other his Majesties Dominions to appear for us or Either of us at the Suit of the abovementioned Robert Gordon Charles Hammond & Richard Francis or their Successors & to receive a Declaration or Declarations on the above Obligation & thereupon to Confess Judgment by Nil dicit Cognovit Actionem non sum informatus or otherwise Hereby releasing all the Errors that may Happen upon the said Judgm.t suing out Execution thereupon or many of the Proceedings thereunto Relating Rich.d Hill Seal Levin Hill Seal Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of On the back of the said Bond was the following W.m Rogers Assignment (Vizt) Maryland fs W.m Williamson To all Christian People to whom these Present shall Come We Robert Gordon Charles Hammond and Richard Francis Commissioners or Trustees for Emitting the Bills of Credit send Greeting Whereas there is a Judgment on the within bond on Record in the Provincial Court against the within named Levin Hill at the Suit of us the said Commissioners or Trustees as by the Records of the said Court it Doth at Large Appear Now know yee that for and in Consideration that William Black of the City of London Merchant (hath) |
