45 mentioned to be the right & Estate of Doct.r George Stewart his heirs & Assigns for Ever According to the true Intent & meaning of this Deed & that at the Same time Came Eliz.a the wife of the said James Haddock Waring & being by me Examined Apart from & out of the hearing of her Said Husband declared She freely Relinquished her Right of Dower of in & to the said two Severall Lotts & premisses without being Compelled thereto by threats of fears of her said husband or Incurring his Displeasure Taken before me the Day & Year above B Young 6 1/2 recorded June y.e 17 1738 Ex.d This Indenture made the fifth Day of January Anno Domini Seventeen Hundred and thirty Seven Between ^Eliz.a^ Gin of the City of London Widow in her own Right & William Woodward of ^the^ City London Goldsmith and Mary Holmes of Newington Butts in the County of Surry in the Kingdom of England Widow Devisees Trustees and Executors of the Testament and last Will of Mary Woodward late of London Widows deceased of the one part and John Brice of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the other part Whereas Amos Garrett late of ^the^ City of Annapolis in the said Province of Maryland Gentleman Merchant deceased was in his Life Time Seized of and Intituled to severall Tracts & Parcells & Lotts of Land and severall Messuages and Tenements in the said Province and Dyed Intestate By which means all his Reall Estate Descended to and Vested in the said mary Woodward and Elizabeth Gin his two Surviving Sisters as Parcences or Tenants in Common And Whereas The said Mary Woodward is since the Death of the said Amos Garrett also dead But before her Death made Testament and |
