412) William Egerton and John Hicks before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Deed to be their act and Deed to and for the uses therein mentioned according to the form of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided Acknowledged before me the day and year aforesaid 5 1/2 Recorded May the 26.th 1743 Robert Gordon Ex.d This Indenture Tripartite made the Third day of May in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and forty Three Between Thomas Egerton and William Egerton both of S.t Marys County Gent of the first Part and John Hicks of the County afs.d Gent of the second part, And George Luxford of Ann Arundell County Gent of the Third part, Witnesseth That the said Thomas and William Egerton for and in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings Sterling to them in hand paid by the said John Hicks at or before the ensealing and Delivery of these Presents The receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have granted Released and Confirmed and by these Presents do give grant Release and Confirm unto the said John Hicks Two Thousand four hundred Acres Part of All that Tract of Land on the East Side of Piscataway River and on the South Side of a Creek in the said River Called Piscattaway Creek Beginning at a marked Oak the bound Tree of Randall Hawson and running South South East up the Hills for the Length of five hundred Perches to a marked Oak bounding on the south with a Line Drawn South East from the said Oak for the Length of one Thousand ^&^ Twenty Perches to a marked Oak on the East with a Line Drawn North East from the end of the former line to a marked Ash Standing in an Ashen Swamp by the Creek side near an Indian field on the North with the said Creek on the West with (the) |
