                                          Then Came before Us the Subscribers Two of the
       Justices of the Provincial Court the above written Alexander
       Hamilton & Mathias Bordley the Subscribing Witnesses to the
       above Bond (And which said Bond was then Entered into before
       Us the s.d Subscribers) And Made Oath on the Holy Evangelists of
       Almighty God that they did see the above named Edm.d Jenings
       George Plater and Jn.o Brice & Every of them sign Seal & Deliver
       the above bond as their & Each of their Act & Deed And therefore
       in Pursuance of the Act of Assembly intitled a Supplementary
       Act to the Act intitled an Act for the Repairing the Damages
       already sustained in the Records of the land Secretarys Commissary's
       and County Court Offices and for Security of the same
       Records for the future We the said Subscribers do Order the
       aforesaid Bond to be imediately Entered by the Clerk of the
       Provincial Court Office in the Provincial Land Records

X.d This Indenture made the thirty first Day of January in the
       Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and forty two three Between
       Henry Childs of Ann Arundel County Planter of the one Part
       and Plumer Ijams of the same County Planter of the other Part
       Witnesseth That the said Henry Childs for and in Consideration
       of the Sum of sixty Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain
       to him in Hand paid by the said Plumer Ijams the Receipt
       whereof is hereby acknowledged and Doth clearly acquit and
