371) July the 20.th 1742 Then came before us the Subscribers Two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann.l County the within named Melechisedeck Morray and Acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right title and Estate of him the said Thomas Hughes for ever According to the True Purport and meaning of the within Deed Taken the Day and year above mentioned before Us Tho.s Todd Alex.r Warfield Son Rich.d Reced July the 23.d 1742 of M.r Thomas Hughes the sum of seven Shillings Sterling for his Lordships Use (being the Alienation fine on the within mentioned three hundred and fifty Acres of Land) By Virtue of a Commission from Benj.a Tasker Esquire his said his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Rich.d Dorsey Recorded Dec.r 18.th 1742 Ex.d Know all Men by these Presents that Whereas Michael Taylor of Prince Georges County Maryland Gent in Consideration of the Sum of thirty Six pounds Sterl did on the twenty fifth Day of April Anno Dom Oweth one and seven hundred and thirty Seven Mortgage bargain & sell unto Richard Keen and Turner Wootton both of the said County a Negroe Woman called Bridgett and a Negroe Child called Nancy three feather Beds and all the other Household furniture their posessed by the said Michael Taylor And Whereas I Joyce Bradford bought the said Negroes & all the other things mentioned in the said Mortgage of the aforesaid Richard Keene & Turner Wootton as appears more (at) |
