       Maryland fs.t February the 25.th 1740/1 Then Came Benjamin Fowler
       & Hellen his Wife Parties to the within Indenture & acknowledged the
       same to be their Acts & Deeds & the Land & Premisses within mentioned
       to be the Right & Estate of the within named John Brice his Heirs &
       Assignes according to the true Intent & meaning of the same deed
       & the Act of Assembly in that Case made & provided And the said Hellen
       being privately Examined out of the hearing of her husband declared
       that she acknowledged the same of her own free Consent without
       being induced thereto by fears or threats or ill Usage from her said
       Husband or fear of his Displeasure--Taken & Acknowledged the
       Day & Year above written before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships
       Justices of the Provincial Court of the Province af.d

Ex.d This Indenture made the twenty fifth Day of February in the Year
       of our Lord Seventeen hundred & forty forty one Between Thomas
       Lewis of Ann Arundell County Planter & Elizabeth his Wife lately
       Elizabeth Brigdall Grand Daughter of Hellen Campbell late of said
       County deced which said Helen Campbell was Wife of a Certain Robert
       Jubb & after his Decease married to a Certain John Campbell late of
       said County deced of the one Part & John Brice of the af.d County
       Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Lewis
       & Elizabeth his Wife for & in Consideration of the Sum of Sixty Pounds
       Current Money of Maryland & two hundred & fifty Pounds of Tobacco
       to them in hand paid or secured to be paid the Receipt whereof they
       the said Thomas & Elizabeth hereby acknowledge & thereof & of every
       Part & Parcell thereof do acquit & discharge the said John Brice have
       given granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed & confirmed & by
       these Presents for themselves their Heirs Executors & Adm.rs do give
       Grant bargain sell alien Enfeoffe & Confirm unto him the said
       John Brice his Heirs & Assignes All that Tract or Parcell of Land called
       Lusby Originally taken up by Robert Lusby late of the County af.d
       & Containing fifty Acres of Land more or less which said Tract of
