X.d This Indenture made the fourteenth Day of February in
       the Year of Our Lord Seventeen hundred & thirty Nine Between John
       Parish of Baltimore County Planter of the one part & Charles Carroll
       of Annapolis Esq.r of the other Part Whereas Edward Edward Parish
       of Ann Arundell County Planter deceased Father of the said John
       Parish was Seased in his demesne as of Fee of & in a Tract of Land
       called Parish's Range containing two Thousand Acres And a Tract
       of Land called Parish's Fear & by his last Will & Testament in
       Writing duely Executed & Proved gave & Devised unto the said John
       Parish his Plantation in Baltimore County below John Wooden
       George Hog with a Streight line to the Falls at a White Oake
       & all the Land below it next Adjacent being part of a Tract of Two
       thousand Acres called Parish's Range together with One hundred &
       twenty Acres with his Plantation a Tract of Land joyning thereto
       called Parish's Fear in fee tail And Whereas at a Provl Court held
       at Annapolis the third Tuesday of May in the Year Seventeen hund.d
       & thirty Six a common recovery with a Single Voucher was had &
       Suffered to Dock the Intail of the said Land & to Invest the said John
       Parish with an Estate of Inheritance in Fee Simple therein
       And Whereas the said Edward Parish by his said last Will & Testam.t
       gave & bequeathed unto his Son William Parish Eight hundred
       Acres Part of the said Tract called Parish's Range & the Issue of
       his Body lawfully begotten & in default of such Issue to the said
       John Party to these Presents & Edward Parish one of the Sons of the
       said Edward Parish the Devisor by Equal Portions to them & the heirs
       of their Body which Same William Parish the Devisee died w.thout
       Issue And in his Minority by whose Death the said Eight hundred
       Acres became Vested in the said John & Edward Parish as Tenants
       in Common in Fee Tail & that the Common Recovery herein
       before mentioned was as well of four hundred acres being one
       Moyety of the said Eight hundred Acres as of the other Lands
