       At the foot of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Written (Viz.t)
       Maryland fs.t   Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices
       of the Provincial Court Cap.t Michael Wilson and made Oath upon the
       Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that he saw the above named Couradt
       de Smeth Signed Sealed & Delivered the above Power of Attorney for the
       uses therein mentioned & that he saw John Nicholls the other Subscribing
       Evidence sign the Same
                     Sworn to before me this 11.th Day of Sept.r 1739
