559) Witness his W.m Rogers Joshua X Earpe Mark Jo.n Davidge Memd.m That on the 29.th Day of September 1737 Came Joshua Earpe party to the within Deed and Acknowledged the Lands & Premisses therein Mentioned to be the Right title and Estate of the within Named Benjamin Tasker Daniel Dulany Charles Carroll Esq.rs & Charles Carroll Gen.t their heirs & Assigns forever According to Law Taken before us W.m Rogers Jo.n Davidge Reced Sep.r 30.th 1737 of Doc.r Charles Carroll & Comp.a the Sum of two Shillings and Eight pence Sterling for his Lordships use (being the Aleination fine On the within Mentioned One hundred & thirty Acres of Land By Virtue of A Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his Said Lordships Agent and Receiver General 6 Sides Recorded Oct.r 3.d 1737 P Rich.d Dorsey Ex.d This Indenture Made this first Day of September Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred Thirty & Seven Between Thomas Knighton and Keyser Knighton of the County of Ann Arrundell in the Province of Maryland Planters of the one part Richard Snowden Gentleman Edmund Jenings Esq.r Jonathan Forward Merchant John Galloway John Prichard & Joseph Cowman Gentlemen being the Patuxent Iron Work Company of the Other Part Witnesseth That the said Thomas Knighton & Keysar Knighton for and in Consideration of the Sume of Sixty Pounds Gold Currency and five pounds in Paper Currency to them in hand paid or Secured to be paid The Receipt whereof they the said Thomas & Keyser Do hereby Acknowledge & Do Clearly Acquit Exonerate & Discharge the said Richard Snowden Edmund Jenings Jonathan Forward John Galloway John Prichard & Joseph Cowman and all & Every of them their Heirs and Assigns for Ever Have Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Transferred Enfeoffed & Confirmed And by these Presents Do fully Clearly and Absolutely Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Transfer Enfeoffe & Confirme unto the said Richard Snowden Edmund Jenings Jonathan Forward John Galloway John Prichard & Joseph Cowman Their Respective Heirs and Assigns as Tenants in Common According to their Severall Shares and Proportions in the Patuxent Iron Works Viz.t Nine Sixteenth Parts thereof to Richard Snowden two Sixteenth Parts to Edmund Jenings two Sixteenth parts to Jonathan (Forward) |
