(55) Oath on the Holy Evangilists of Almighty God that he saw Nath.l Focke James Peirce & John Wood administrators of Hugh Arbuthnot sign seale and Deliver the within ^written^ instrument empowering M.r George Buchanan Merch.t on the Eastern Branch of Potomack and M.r John Buchanan of London Merchant their true and Lawfull attorneys in the Presence of Mich.ll Coulter & Sam.ll Johnson two other subscribing Witnesses thereto In Testimony of which the seale of Charles County Court is hereto affixt this fifteenth day of March in the seventeenth year of 7 1/2 sides his Lordships Dominion & Anno Dm 1731 p S Hanson Cler Cur Recorded this 18.th day of March 1731 x.d This Indenture made the sixteenth day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty one Vide release Between William Parks of Annapolis Printer of the One of Redemp.t Part and the Honourable Charles Calvert of Annapolis Esq.r for the Land of the other part Witnesseth that the said W.m Parkes ment.d in this for and in Consideration of the sume of Two Hundred and Mortgage record Twelve pounds Current Money of Maryland from him justly in this Book Due and Oweing to the said Charles Calvert Hath bargained fol 246 and Sold and by these presents Doth bargain and sell unto the said Charles Calvert one tract or parcell of land lying in Ann Arundell County af.d called Martins Next containing by Pattent One hundred and fifty acres Granted the twentieth Day of September sixteen Hundred and Eighty by the then Lord propry unto Martain Faulkner in due form of Law alsoe one Messuage and Lott or portion of Ground Lyeing in the New Town of Annapolis sold & Conveyed by John Humphryes Clerk to the Said William and alsoe one prize or Lott N.o 135 in the Marlborough Two Thousand pounds Lottery being a Messuage Tenement and seventy five acres of Land Lying in Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Together with all Building Improvements proffitts Comodities advantages and appurtenances to all and Singular the premisses belonging or in any wise appertaining And the Said William Parks for the Consideration afd Hath assigned set over and Transferred and by (these) |
