Maryland fs   This Indenture made the twenty eighth Day of August in
x.d   the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & thirty four
       between Thomas Speak of Charles County in the Province afores.d Planter
       & Jane his wife of the one Part & George Plater Esq.r of S.t Marys County
       in the Province af.d of the Other Part Witness^eth^ that the s.d Thomas
       Speake & Jane his Wife as well for & in Consideration of the sum of Eighteen
       Pounds fifteen shillings Current money of Maryland to them in hand
       Paid or secured to be Paid the receipt whereof the s.d Thomas Speak
       & Jane his Wife do hereby acknowledge & thereof & from every Part & Parcell
       thereof do hereby Acquit Exonerate & Discharge the s.d George Platers his
       heirs Ex.rs & Adm.rs as for Divers Other Considerations them thereunto
       more especially Moveing have Given Granted Sold Assignd Transferred
       & made over & by Virtue of these Presents do hereby assign give grant
       sell Transferr & make over unto the s.d George Plater his heirs and
       Assigns for ever all the estate right Title Interest Property Claim &
       Demand whatsoever which they the said Thomas Speak and Jane
       his Wife now have or heretofore ever had at any time had of in or unto
       any Part or Portion of that moiety of a Divided Tract of Land Called
       Popes whereon John Pope formerly Dwell Scituate Lying & being
       Near Potomack River at the Mouth of a Creek Called Bakers
       Creek in Charles County af.d & as Divided is said to Contain two
