(136) All the severall Books of Records now being and remaining in the said Offices as also these that from time to time shall be Added thereto in such Manner as that when the said Edmund Jenings shall be Dismissed from Officiating longer in the said Offices shall Deliver all the af.d Records to the next person that succeeds in the said Office in good Order and Repair according to the true Intent and meaning of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided that then the above Written Obligation to be Void and of no Effect otherwise to remain in full force and Virtue in Law Signed Sealed and Delivered Edmund Jenings seal in presence of / the Words (and Judge and Register of the John Beale seal Land Office) being first Interlined Benj.a Tasker J.o Ross seal Ch.a Hammond Robert Gordon 2 sides Baltimore Charles Absolute Lord and Propry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &c To Edmond Jenings Esq.r Greeting the Reposing Especial Trust and Confidence in the Integrity Care and Circumspection of you the said Edmond Jenings Doe (by Virtue of the Powers given in the Letters patent from King Charles the first to Cæcilius Baron of Baltimore his heirs and assigns of the said Province of Maryland) By these presents Constitute and appoint you the said Edmond Jenings Secretary of the said Province of Maryland with full Powers and Authoritys to you the said Edmund Jenings to Execute the said office of secretary and to do and perform all other Acts usually done by the former secretarys of the Province aforesaid And We do hereby further Impower you the said Edmond Jenings Esq.r to receive all Perquisites fees and Advantages whatsoever to the said office of secretary Belonging or in any wise Appertaining in as full and Ample Manner as any pson (or) |
