                        Then Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships
       Justices of the Provincial Court of the Province of Maryland the within named
       Daniel Carroll party to the within Deed and Acknowledged the several
       Tracts Parcels of Land and Premisses within Mentioned to be the Right of the
       within Named John Parran according to the Tenor and Import of the within Deed
       and according to the form and Effect of the Act of Assembly in that Case Made
       and provided

    Maryland fs   Know all Men by these Presents that We Edmund Jenings Esq
                         John Beale & John Ross Gent of Ann Arundell County are holden and
                         firmly Bound unto the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of the
                         Province of Maryland in the full and just sum of one Thousand
                         pounds Current Money to be paid to the said Lord Proprietary his
                         Heirs or Successors to which payment well and truly done We bind
                         our selves our Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs in the whole and for the whole
                         jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seales
                         and Dated this 24.th day of April 1733

    The Condition of this above Written Obligation is such that if the above
    bounded Edmund Jenings whilst he shall continue in the office of Secretary of
    Maryland and Judge and Register of the Land Office shall at his own proper Cost
    and Charge find a supply of good and sufficient Record Books necessary for
    the Entering up of all Matters and things relating to such Secretaries and
    Land Offices and shall duly and carefully look after preserve and Maintain
