and bee in the same Plight State & Condition to all Intents & Purposes as if the s.d felony whereof the s.d Edw.d Betts Hath been Convicted hath never been done or Comitted Witness our Dear Brother Benedict Leonard Calvert Govenor & Comander in Chief in & over Our said Povince this Elepheneenth Eighteenth of June in the seventeenth Year of our Dominion &r Annoq Domini 1731 8 sides Bened.t Leon.d Calvert great Seale in wax Jn.o Ross Cl Con append His Lordships Maryland fs.t By his Excellency Benidict dissent to the Act Leonard Calvert Lieutenant Generall and Chief for assertaining the Govenor in and over the Province of Maryland Judges Oaths and the Attorneys Law A Proclamation Whereas his Lordship the Right Honourable the Lord propry of this Province has signified his dissents to the Acts of Assembly hereafter Mentioned Viz.t To an act for ascertaining the form of the Oath of Judge or Justice And to an Act to ascertain the fees of Practitioners of the Law within this province and to present Extortions frauds and Abuses y.e in made at a Session of Assembly begun and held at the City of Annapolis the Twenty First Day of May Anno Domini 1730 Therefor that publick notice maybe Given of his Lordship disents to the s.d Lawson I have thought by and with the advice of his Lordships Councill of State to Issue this my Proclamation And I do (hereby) |
