(455) Ten pounds sterling being the full
Consideration money for the Land and Premisses above Mencond I say received P me Will Worthington seale Signed Sealed and Delivered In presence of us Tho Worthington John Jones September the 8.th 1730 Then Came before me the subsciber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provinciall Court the above Mencond William Worthington who acknowledged the above Instrument as his Act and Deed and the Land and premisses therein Mencond to be the right and Estate of the above Named Vachel Denton his heirs and assigns for ever according to the true intent and Meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly of this province in such Cases made and provided And at the same time Came Sarah the Wife of the said Will.m Worthington who being secretly examined out of the hearing of her husband declared that she relinquisht her right of Dower to the Lands and Premisses above Mencond Willingly and Freely and without being induced thereto by Fears or threats of or Ill Useage of her Husband or fear of his Displeasure according to Act of Assembly in that Case made & provided (Recorded the 8.th day November 1730) Benj.a Tasker x.d This Indenture made the Eighth day of September Anno Domini seventeen hundred and Thirty Between William Worthington of Ann Arundell County in the Province of Maryland Gent of the one part and Vachel Denton of the City of Annapolis Gent of the Other part Witnesseth that the said William Worthington for and in Consideration of one hundred of the sume of One hundred and Eighty pounds Current Money of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said Vachel Denton the Receipt whereof the said William Doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and from Every part and (parcell) |
