(328) By his Instructions to the said William
Greenwood did order that after the arivall of the said shipp in this province that the said shipp should Lye for the space of a month in Choptank River in the said province and thereafter proceed to Patapsco River there to take in her Lading of Tobacco & from thence to Return to the River of Thames aforesaid which appearing now unpractabbe and that a sufficient Quantity of Tobacco Could not be got there to Load the aforesaid shipp and that it would be more for the Intrest of the said Black for the said ship to Continue in the said Choptank River to take in her Loading afd and whereas the afd William Greenwood at y.e speciall Instance & request of the above Bound Peter Hume hath Consented and Agreed to Continue in Choptank River aforesaid there to take the aforesaid Loading of Tobacco if therefore the said Peter Hume Attorney in Fact of the said William Black his heirs Executors & Administrators doe & shall at all times hereafter save & keep harmless and Indemnified the said William Greenwood his heirs executors & administrators or assignes & every of them against the said Will Black his Ex.rs Administrators or Assigns & all other persons whatsoever from all Manner of Arrests Actions Charges & Damages whatsoever which shall or may arrise or accrue by Reason of these presents or any thing relateing to or Concerning the same then this Obligation to be void else to be in full force & Virtue Sealed & Delivered in Peter Hume seale the presence of us Rich.d Williams George Neilson Richard Hill Recorded this 21.st day of May 1729 |
